After setting my goal of becoming a WAHM, the next question is: what’s next?

I’m evaluating what I can work with at the moment and I’m starting from there.
Right now, I have three sites I call business blogs:
- An Amazon product site
- A domain for another Amazon product
- A local business listing site
I’m looking into Amazon affiliate marketing as a major method of making money online. I picked up this system about making money from Amazon and chose a keyword that the seller provided in one of his niche packages. I didn’t care yet about searches and competition then, I simply took his word for it.
Tasks
I built the site, wrote some content and got backlinks. It was on page one of Google for awhile but it started to dance when I stopped building backlinks.
Though I haven’t made my money back from the initial investment, the site has made two sales which was enough proof for me that it works.
I figured I only need to find high-paying products and do the same thing. Just need to be more consistent with building backlinks.
My immediate tasks for site number 1: Add new content and build backlinks again.
Site #2 is another Amazon product site. I have yet to fill this one with content. Honestly, I picked the product because it had high searches and I got an exact match domain name. But when it came to interest, that’s where I flopped.
Now that I’m going into this mission, head on, I am motivating myself to work more on this site and write the content. I’m a good writer so I’m sure I can handle this.
My immediate task for site #2: Write home page content
As for the third site, I haven’t finished building it yet. It’s a directory type of site which I aim to monetize by renting ad space. This is another idea I got from an info product I bought.
My immediate task for site #3: Build an advertising page.
ADD
By now, you’re probably thinking, and I am realizing, that I’m suffering from an attention deficit disorder that most newbies experience. Jumping from one thing to another without finishing what I started.
But it is what is now and I am going to spin the situation to my advantage. I admit I like doing different things lest I get bored. But when I decide to focus on one thing at a given hour, I can focus.
After I’ve finished building these sites, moving forward, I am going to use free web 2.0 properties for awhile. I want to have money coming in before I let a dollar out because my domain and hosting fees are all tied to my Paypal account. I want to keep my expenses minimum at this point and my Paypal balance has to maintain a high threshold.
Options
Another option I’m considering is offering blog design services.
One of my hesitations was not having the skills to do it, but I tried doing a small gig on Fiverr and got my feet a bit wet working with clients. I managed just fine and I think I can do it.
Another hesitation was not having a portfolio but then I remembered I have five blogs, all of which I designed myself, I could use them first as my portfolio until I get my own clients.
Prettifying blogs is one thing I’ve mastered by now and I like doing it. Unlike websites built for affiliate marketing which take time to earn, I feel that offering blog design services is something that will bring in money faster as long as I get clients.
Considering my deadline, I will try different things first and then see what works.
Woah!
Is your head spinning by now? Mine is too.
But that’s why I started this blog, so I can make sense of all these ideas in my head and come up with an actionable plan that will help me accomplish my goal.
So there I go, forward march!
